Local Citizens Statements
Statements from residents, published with permission — all good-faith perspectives welcome.
Statements submitted by local residents and published with their permission. All good-faith perspectives are welcome — supportive, opposed, or undecided. Statements reflect the views of the people who wrote them, not the maintainers of this site. To add yours, use the submission form.
<div class="statement"> block, paste the person's words, then set the attribution (a name, ‘Cascade resident’, or ‘Name withheld by request’) and the date. Keeping both supportive and critical statements helps the page stay balanced.
Published statements
[Example statement — replace with a resident's own words about the project, whether supportive, opposed, or undecided.]
Example Cascade resident · Month YYYY
[Example statement — a second placeholder showing a different viewpoint, so the page does not lean one way.]
Example Name withheld by request · Month YYYY
How it works
Adding and attributing statements
How is a statement attributed?
However the writer asks. Options include a full name, a general label such as 'Cascade resident' or 'Local farmer', or 'Name withheld by request'. We follow the preference given on the submission form.
Are statements edited?
Statements are published substantially as written. Minor fixes (spelling, or removing personal contact details) may be made without changing the meaning. Submissions that are abusive or not in good faith may be declined.
Where do statements already on the public record appear?
Comments by officials or residents that appear in news coverage are linked from the relevant topic pages (see Simple Mining and City Council) rather than reproduced here.
